Michaela Laurie is a member of ASOC and has worked from her studio just outside the ACT, since moving from Sydney 20 years ago. She has tried and practised many mediums and styles throughout her career. She is best known for her adventures in paper craft, and then her detailed coloured pencil and mixed media pictures of trees and, more recently, porcelain and the birds who visit her country garden.

At the meeting she will talk about the mediums and styles she has worked in, self-sabotage – or when you’re on a good thing why not toss it all in and try something new, finding her art medium groove and how she makes a living as an artist in Canberra.
